Major career highlights included

• Australian 50 Km Champion
• British 50 Km Champion
• 1978 and 1982 Commonwealth Games representations
• 1979 and 1983 Lugano Cup representations
• Representing Australia at the IAAF World 50 Km Championships in 1976
• Becoming Australian Centurion Number 13 in 1976

I also dabbled in competitive cycling, running and triathlons with some success upon retiring from top-line racewalking but I won't bore you with the details. I still have the occasional walk but am happy to put back into the sport as an administrator and only compete sparingly. I am married with 4 grown up boys (ranging in age from 33 to 41) and live in Melbourne. I am currently the secretary of the Australian Centurion Walkers and maintain these pages. I am have my fingers in a lot of other sports related pies and look after a number of websites as well.

By profession, I started off as a secondary school teacher bur swapped to IT, working variously as a 'Middleware' consultant and dabbling with software on mainframe, midrange and Windows computers. I have now retired and am enjoying a new lease of life after work!
